3rd Grade Tree Program

Soil Conservationist Nelva Huitink presents trees to third-grade students at Netherlands Reformed School in Rock Valley.
The annual 3rd Grade Tree Program is offered to third graders in every school in Sioux County. Every student is given the opportunity to choose two trees from a list of four.
Information about the tree choices and an order form are sent home from school with each student in November. Parents help the student decide which two trees to order, and then return the signed order form to their school. The trees will be delivered sometime in April.
When the trees are delivered, a short presentation is given on how to plant the trees and how to care for them.
