The Sioux County Soil & Water Conservation District is taking grant applications for environmental projects that promote protection of our natural resources. Grants of up to $500 will be awarded to eligible projects. Grant monies are to be used strictly for materials for the project. Applications are due by March 1, 2023.
Eligible groups are any youth groups in Sioux County such as FFA, 4-H Clubs, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cadets, GEMS, Science Clubs, etc. Criteria for receiving grants will be based on environmental impact of project, cost-effectiveness of project, and educational value to the group. A brief completion report is required that includes itemized bills when project is finished. Pictures of students working on the project are recommended. Three grants will be awarded.
